About the Role

Support teaching, learning and events through well designed AV environments

Join Box Hill Institute as an Audio Visual Specialist supporting high quality teaching, learning, collaboration and events across multiple campuses. You will design, deliver and manage secure, reliable and accessible audio visual (AV) environments, applying standards based design with a strong focus on user experience, reliability and supportability. You will provide advanced AV technical expertise and act as the primary escalation point for complex AV incidents and high profile events.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Design, deliver, support and manage the full lifecycle of AV systems across classrooms, meeting rooms and event spaces, including standards and documentation
• Evaluate AV and collaboration technologies, contributing to pilots, refresh activities and continuous improvement
• Maintain AV asset registers, as-builts, runbooks and knowledge articles
• Ensure AV environments meet quality, accessibility, security and compliance requirements
• Act as the Tier 3 escalation point and work with internal teams, vendors and stakeholders to support AV operations and major events

What you’ll bring

• Experience designing, maintaining and supporting large scale, multi campus AV environments
• Strong technical capability across AV hardware, control and collaboration platforms, hybrid meetings, unified communications and AV over IP
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex AV issues in teaching, learning and major event settings
• Hands on experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms, supporting academic teams and senior stakeholders
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation, manage AV assets and lifecycle information, with strong customer focused communication skills

Qualifications / Requirements

• Relevant bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education, certifications and professional experience) in AV Technology, Engineering or IT
• Moderate experience supporting large scale, multi campus AV environments, with hands on expertise across AV systems, collaboration platforms, lecture capture, room automation and event technologies
• Proven capability in Microsoft Teams Rooms, unified communications, AV over IP and secure hybrid environments, with strong communication, documentation, asset and lifecycle management, stakeholder engagement and ITIL aligned service delivery skills
